In 2025, the Creative District launched a funding program to bring new arts activations to Port Townsend’s monthly ArtWalk. The goal of this program is to support participating venues to partner with local artists to present live music, workshops, performances or other activities that enhance the public’s experience during ArtWalk and help increase the number of visitors and residents who come to the event. Up to $500 is available for each activation.
Some examples of funded activities include:
- Live musical performances in ArtWalk venues
- Flash mob-style dance at galleries
- Outdoor performance art during ArtWalk
Events must happen during ArtWalk hours in partnership with a registered ArtWalk venue and local artist/artists. The venue and artist/artists must be registered in the Artist Directory. If you are interested in becoming art ArtWalk venue, please email arts@cityofpt.us.
