Scott Mikelson is a Port Townsend–based artist who approaches his work with joy, curiosity, and a deep love of nature. He began developing his artistic practice at the Gathering Place, where he discovered painting, ceramics, and watercolor, with a particular passion for landscapes. His paintings bring scenes to life with warmth and humor.
Living with intellectual and physical disabilities, including cerebral palsy, has shaped Scott’s perspective but never limited his creativity. Art is both a form of self-expression and a way to connect with others. After years of sharing his work primarily with family, Scott is now inviting a wider audience to experience his view of the world.
