Sam Maynard has at least 3 modes of musical entertainment on Voice, Keyboards, and Guitar. One is as a singer/songwriter and parodist that includes a Tom Waits version of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” as well as a playlist of over 30 originals. He also likes to revisit 70’s progressive rock covers like Genesis’ “Lamb Lies Down on Broadway’ and Pink Floyd’s ‘Comfortably Numb’. He also covers more pop oriented artists like Elton John, Billy Joel, and Jackson Browne. The other mode is ambience in which he weaves improvisational instrumental motifs that seque through familiar phrases.
