Northwind Art operates Jeanette Best Gallery, a downtown space filled with local and regional artists’ work, as well as Northwind Art School at Fort Worden (formerly Port Townsend School of the Arts). Our mission is threefold: to build community well-being through art, to cultivate creativity and to grow artists.
Jeanette Best Gallery presents eight to 10 art exhibitions per year, and encourages local artists to participate in its Showcase program as well as in exhibits such as the annual Small Expressions show. At Northwind Art School, local and regional teaching artists offer courses and workshops, ranging from plein air painting to photography to jewelry making.
