Linda Okazaki (American b.1947, Washington State) is a painter, a maker of marks on paper, canvas, and digital media creating images that hold meaning through archetypal figures, wondrous landscapes and dream logic. She engages the imagination with ideas that match emotions with image and color. Her recent retrospective at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, Linda Okazaki: Into the Light 2023-24 created new opportunities. Her future ideas are informed by the knowledge she gained through this rigorous investigation.
Okazaki earned both a BA and MFA from Washington State University where she taught in the Fine Arts department.
