October @ Aurora Loop Gallery in Port Townsend: Anne Hirondelle

Anne Hirondelle’s bold collages incorporate tracing paper, sandpaper, Swedish fabric and mesh. She has explored texture and light along with form and structure. She is also introducing new sculptures made from cardboard and wood.

Hirondelle’s work witnesses decades of evolution that began with simple clay vessels. She makes visual alliterations that create harmonious layers and forms. “Hirondelle has innovated traditional, transcending boundaries, finding and layering new ways of expression that defy categorization,” said Kathleen Garrett.
